Leaving for Texas tonight for an Episcopal youth retreat. I get back late on the 13th, and then drive immediately out to Jesus Camp the next morning. Soooo I am going to be offline for two weeks or so, due to my life being eaten by religion! In order from left to right, these fine young men are George Harrison, Ringo Starr, Paul McCartney, and John Lennon. I think. I know Paul is the third one, anyway. This icon is from their movie A Hard Day's Night (I have the first part here, the other parts are up on YouTube somewhere I'm sure), which is one of the most hilarious things to ever happen to the cinema, providing you are a fan of quirky British humor. Which you should be. Anyway! The scene here is just after they sneak away from their manager, run down a fire escape, and proceed to galavant around nonsensically in a field while upbeat music plays. It's kind of the best thing ever. <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 This icon is one of my personal favorites because of the scene it's from; it represents bliss and freedom and carelessness in a very simple way. At least that's how I feel.

Same movie. This is from an equally amazing scene in the makeup room when Paul decides to recite Shakespeare (I think) and then "shoots" the camera with that hair dryer. The best part is that he actually goes ZAP when he points the dryer at the camera, hence the keyword. In the bonus features on the DVD it said something about how Paul was the only Beatle who ever actually tried being a "serious" actor (the other three basically screwed around the set and couldn't care less) and as a result he ended up being a little more dramatic in his scenes than the others. So when I'm feeling DRAMATIC I like to use this icon!

This is Edward Elric! He is the single best thing to ever happen to anime in general! He is also cooler than you! [/fangirl] This icon (along with many others) exists because I was tired of having like ALL Avatar icons and wanted to show the Internet that hey, I express love for other fandoms too! And if I was going to have an icon of Ed it needed to be a cute one. Because when Ed's emo, he's REALLY emo and I don't think I could bear having him moping around in my userpics all the time. Also I am more than a little in love with the FMA writings of one rainjoyswriting and wanted an appropriate icon for when I commented on her work. Hence, adorable!Ed.

This is Koenma! He is a 700+ year old toddler who runs the afterlife and this icon is a fairly accurate representation of what he does all day. And that thing in front of his mouth is a pacifier, in case anyone was unsure. Like I said earlier, this is meant to be my token "angry" icon but I find it hilarious because of its accuracy. Not that its hilarity stops it from being my token "angry" icon! It is very useful at those times when I, like Koenma, find myself flowing along in a CONTINUOUS STREAM OF BITCHINESS. Usually when my family is the topic of conversation, because whenever I bring them up in here, it's rarely anything good!

This is Kazuma Kuwabara. He is a REAL MAN. AND DON'T YOU FORGET IT. <3 Um, basically this icon is here for when I want to flail and spaz and squee all over the place like a tard. Sometimes I want to spaz like a tard from just looking at this icon, actually. It makes me feel warm and fuzzy. It is also very useful, because just like nobody can bitch quite like Koenma, nobody can express UNADULTERATED GLEE just like Kuwabara! (One of the many reasons I love him to pieces.) So it is very handy having this icon around for that exact purpose.

I could probably go on like this for ALL MY ICONS because I love them all so much, but yukitheawesome only picked these five. Which is cool too! I think a side effect of having limited icons is that you get insanely attached to the ones you end up choosing.
